This article will focus on the upgrade of existing Windows 10 Professional installations below 1803 (More on versions can be found here - https://sites.google.com/a/sanmina.com/ozblog/home/when-duty-calls-blog/windows10versions). Wiki also has a nice layout - https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Windows_10_version_history. So how do you tell the version of Windows 10 you have? Look no further than the Winver command (from CMD or PS).
Or to see if your system(s) qualify as a deployment candidate you can use the Ivanti Console and navigate to the query below / execute.

Process
From within the Ivanti Console navigate to the following Scheduled Task under your Site. Right click the Upgrade_Windows 10 Professional 1803 and select Add Devices or Click and Drag a Device from the Network View above.
After assigning your Device, you should see a Pending light blue bar with a number indicating the amount of devices in queue. Right Click the Scheduled Task and select Start Now the Waiting or Currently Working.
Soon thereafter on the client, you should see something similar to the graphic below. As you can see Windows 10 1803 was Detected. A Download will commence. Be patient, it may seem like its not working but it is.
Once the Download has completed, you will be prompted with the following Notification and a 30 Minute countdown.
Click Start Now and we are off to the races. The install is silent however if your the curious type u can open Task Manager and sort by CPU and look for Powershell / SetupHost / DISM.
This part of the install can be lengthy depending on hardware / resources available. Again be patient. Go to lunch....LOL (just an expression or is it....time will tell). OK so when the first half of the installation has completed, the system will automatically restart.
Once the Reboot has commenced you will see the following graphic. Another Reboot will be required but after that the process will have essentially completed. You should be able to login like u normally would.
Thats the process. It can be an hour + so plan accordingly. Below is some FAQ.
FAQ
Q - Why are we not we upgrading the Enterprise version of Windows 10?
The Enterprise version is locked in for 10 years with no Feature updates. Its called LTSB (Long Term Servicing Branch). It will get other updates but not Feature which increments the actual version. The Professional version of Windows 10 however will expire and is required to update ever so often. Failure to do so prevents all updates from being applied. Remember the Enterprise version is to be used for Non-English installations. Confusing I know.... !!
Q - I noticed Software Center is missing from my Start Menu after the upgrade. Why why why?
Software Center maybe temporarily unavailable after the first login but should appear shortly thereafter with a New prefix. Apparently it gets re-installed.
