Deciphering Bitlocker Status

We built some useful queries to identify problematic systems with Bitlocker or missing Bitlocker completely. As we passed this knowledge down to our local Filed IT techs, we determined that some explaining was in order.”
Back again with hopefully some useful knowledge to help you navigate the IT life....
So lets get started.....In the Ivanti Console under Queries\New Query\, navigate to Mass Storage\Encryption. Build out your query / columns to resemble the graphic below. Execute the query and here you will see a list of your systems and there Bitlocker Status. As you can see we have a wide range of status, some of which will require investigation.
Some of these status columns are easy to understand while others not so. So the information below should help assist with this grey area....
Conversion Status
Encryption Method
Lock Status
Protection Status
